WannaCry Cyber Attack – What You Can Do Now
- Press “Start“
- Type “Windows Feature“
- Look for “Turn windows feature on or off“
- Look for “SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support“
- Deselect it then press OK.
General note (layman terms for non-IT)
Ransomware generally is a kind of malware/virus that will LOCK your hard disk and prevent you to use it, until you pay $$ then only you will receive password to unlock your hard disk.
So far official report that more than 200,000 computers over the world been affected.
